Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Packing and crying, and crying and packing.

We're getting ready to head up to our summer house in Vancouver and packing is kicking my @ss.  I wasn't supposed to have to pack much for this summer.  All I was going to bring were a couple banded at the bottom shirts of mine to get me through what was supposed to be that awkward 'pregnant or gaining weight?' phase and a couple pairs of maternity jeans that I've got stored away from my previous pregancy.  I didn't need to pack much because I didn't have much that was supposed to fit me this summer.  Both of previous pregnancies were winter pregnancies so I was going to just have to stock up on summer pg clothes once we got home.

Now, however, I am packing up everything.  All of my normal clothes. A huge @ss bag of clothes just like every other summer. SUCKS!

Re: Packing and crying, and crying and packing.

  • I unpacked every bit of maternity clothing I had the day we found out. I had only taken out a shirt and a pair of pants before that. I'm putting off actually packing right now. I just can't do it again.

I could totally handle that! Knowing me, though, I'd get one shirt for me and spend the rest on DS.

Clothes suck. I think after you have a loss you should get a $5K shopping spree for all new clothes that won't remind you of being pregnant!

    AGREED!!

  • Boo for a crappy packing experience :(  But yay for Vancouver!  I love Vancouver :)
  • clothes do suck.  when i have to put on "normal" aka non sweatpant/ sweatshirt clothing, i get even more depressed b/c my body isn't back to normal.  plus, i was soooo excited about wearing these cute maternity summer shirts i had bought earlier in the year and now they're just packed away.  :(

I agree, I am not looking forward to seeing my maternity clothes again when we move.
