DH and I both have certain family members who just about always chew with their mouths open and have been known to talk with their mouths full. It is pretty unappealing, to say the least, and not a habit we want DS to pick up. And these are people who will be visiting us for several weeks at a time later this year. Is there ANY polite way to bring this up? I'm at a loss and the ladies here are always full of such good ideas....

Re: NEFR - Etiquette question
I wouldn't bring it up to them. But I also wouldn't hesitate to correct DS OPENLY about the issue if it comes up while they're sitting in front of him.
Glad stole my answer.
Except I would have put an angel face, because I'm sweet.

Clearly, I'm so not sweet.
I agree!! This is actually something that I've done already with success.
Hope it works for you!

Thank you, ladies! I knew you would have the answer.
And Glad, my dear, we know you are all sweetness and light. There is not a devious bone in your body...
Aw shucks. You just made my day!
Well, that, and the fact that the Gladlets are still sleeping and I'm going on hour three of a QUIET HOUSE.
::happy::
This precisely. I will be reminding my son that he is not a cow, even if his father thinks HE is one.
