wieners anyone?

Anyone going to the Wiener Dog Festival this weekend?  We moved to Buda in August and this will be our first year going.  My college roommates are coming in town for it (mostly just to say that they are going to see wieners.)  I hear it's a lot of fun.

Oh, and don't be jealous, but we were given VIP passes to the festival.  Not really sure what a VIP for a wiener dog festival will entail considering it is free, but I'm excited.  DH says it makes us Super Wieners.

ETA:  is wieners really I before E?  hmmmm... i could have sworn this was an exception, but I googled and it's wieners.  darn.  I still think E before I looks more right.

I love the wiener dog races... I went a couple years ago and they are so darn cute! Bummed I scheduled something from 12-3 so now I cant go. Should have put it on the calender.

I thought it was e before i too, but it kept saying that it was misspelled so I changed it.

We're going to stop by for a little bit tomorrow afternoon. We've been the past two years and it was hot and very crowded both times. I think Caroline will like it though..she's all about animals these days.

I am jealous that you're VIPs! DH and I have been for the past 2 years and we plan to go and take the dogs on Saturday.

ETA: I'm a big fat liar. We're going Sunday.

The wiener dog races are SO much fun!!!  Definitely near the top of the list of things we miss about living in Austin.

Have a great time!  And take a camera that will shoot video if you can.

We went 3 years ago back when we lived in Buda and had a lot of fun, although it was extremely hard to actually see any of the wiener dog races b/c of the crowds!

 And carlinlp:  Yes, they do serve hot dogs.  In fact, when we went the Oscar Mayer hot dog car was there!

boo bed rest. :P but i'm hoping ken will take aubrey. we go every year, but i think she'll REALLY like it this year. last year she pointed at every dog and yelled "WOOF!" This year she'll at least be able to say "dog."
