I asked about their curriculum, schedule, nap/rest time, snack/lunch times, extra curriculars, costs (hidden fees), drop off and pick up routine, discipline, semester schedule (school closings) and uniforms. There were a lot of other questions that I asked when we toured the school but I can't think of any specifics.
I asked what I could expect her to be doing at the end of the year in prep for Kindergarten. I also asked about their out door time. And because I already knew we would be away for a week, I asked about payment when we would be away and she'd be absent.

*Flexibility of the scheduling (we started at 2 years old and chose 2 days of the week and could do up to 5)
* How classes are separated if there is more than one in each age range
*How long have the teachers been there and who is the newest...how new?
*What kinds of activities or specials are offered? Like music, art, computers, language, gym
*How often to they get to play outside? How cold is too cold?
*How do they handle potty issues or diaper issues
*How do they handle pick up and drop off times... is it carpool line or you must go inside to get them? Also, can someone else get them from school and what is their procedure for that and your child's safety.
*Visitors policy... like is there security to keep out people who aren't supposed to be there
* Any dietary restrictions on lunches or snacks if brought to school (peanut free etc)
*If you need to talk to the teachers when are they accessible?
*Are there conferences to discuss their progress and if so when
*What kinds of activities do they do in terms of field trips to where or special days like grandparent's day or holiday performances and such.
