Help me out of a dinner rut

I'm in a dinner rut. We seem to make the same thing over and over again and it's getting really old.I have tried looking through allrecipes.com and I get overwhelmed.

What are some things that you make for dinner? I just need some ideas. I can find recipes online but if you have them or can link me to some I'd love you forever.

Nothing is off limits. We'll eat pretty much anything.

  • I just made brideonjuly8's Jalapeno Chicken the other night, and it was delicious! I brushed the outside with Salt Lick bbq sauce before I put it on the grill. I served it with bake potatoes and a veggie. I recommend grilling to crisp up the bacon and then baking to get the chicken cooked all the way through. My bacon was a little burned because we tried to do it all on the grill, but next time I finish in the oven.

    Jalapeno Chicken

2 boneless chicken breasts, pounded thin

1/2 to full pack of bacon or turkey bacon, depending on how healthy you want it.  ;)

    1 jalapeno

about 2-3 tablespoons of cream cheese (ff or light works fine)

Take jalapeno and slice in half, top off and de-seed.

Fill each 1/2 jalapeno with cream cheese (light or ff works well)

Roll each chicken breast up around the jalapeno and secure with toothpicks.  This is very messy.  :)

Wrap chicken in 2-4 slices of bacon or turkey bacon.  Secure again with toothpicks.

Grill for 5 minutes, each side- 20 minutes total or bake 350 for 30 minutes or until no more pink.

  • I had a really awesome salad at Gloria's yesterday that would be easy to make.  Spring mix, grilled shrimp, sliced strawberries, pineapple, mandarin oranges and honey balsamic vinaigrette.  You could probably do grilled chicken on it, too.

  • We got ribs last night from Costco. You just need to reheat them in the oven or on the grill.

I love grilled chicken (marinated w/ garlic, lemon, oregano and olive oil). I grab some of the marinade before using it on the chicken and toss it w/ feta and tomato for a side.

  • I like myrecipes.com a lot.  It is Southern Living and Cooking Light and a couple of other magazines.  If I?m looking for something new, I usually search by ingredient (chicken thighs, chicken breast, pork tenderloin) and then sort by the number of stars.

Just made this recently.  As suggested by reviewers, I doubled the tomato sauce.  Also subbed regular Italian sausage.

    These were great and easy:

Also these.  I usually skip the jalapeno because I don?t usually keep it in the house and have subbed white onion for the red.

Fly?s Green Chile Creamy Enchiladas are easy and a staple at our house now.

Love this flank steak marinade.  I marinate all day and then grill.  Its good fajitas or just slice and serve with sides.

    1/2 cup soy sauce
    1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 tbsp or so lemon juice
    2 tbsp honey
2-4 cloves of garlic (depending on size of clove and your love of garlic)
    1 tsp ginger
