I've got one, so I'll start ![]()
I went to bed last night around midnight, and didn't wake up until almost 7:30! I couldn't believe it! Charlie still wakes up usually 2 times per night at least. I was going to get up and check on him, and I looked at the monitor. It was set to Leo's channel all night accidentally...oops...
I felt so terrible. I went in and looked at him and he was sleeping with one arm out of the swaddle so I'm sure he was awake at some point during the night. I'm honestly surprised that I didn't hear him because his room is not far from ours. Definitely going to be triple checking the channels from now on ![]()
Re: Anyone up for some Friday Confessions?
Are these flame free???
haha, just kidding.
My back is so in pain that I attempted to get the boys to watch tv this morning. It didn't work b/c they would much rather bother me, but I tried. How horrible am I? Sigh.
Oh, like C's teeth are really awful.
And don't you hate when they're not feeling the "independent play"? The boys always think that "independent play" should involve me. They're too nice with the sharing. I need to learn to hide better. And wear earplugs..
I was mad at my DH last night so when baby C had a poop diaper I changed it on DH's side of the bed without a sheet underneath and didn't wrap up the diaper when I plopped it by his pillow. I don't think any poop actually got on it but at that point I dont think I would have cared if it did.
Her teeth are non-existent! She still doesn't have any.
I made a lunch run to Whole Foods to pick up some more organic food for DD. Then swung by Taco Bell on my way back to work for me.
My daughter eats way better than I do.
1) I don't trust Realtors, and I think the majority of them are LAZY. I used to be one back in WI, which makes me trust them even less because I know 90% of my co-Realtors weren't trustworthy and treated people like crap and that was the main reason I ended up hating my job. My distrust was further cemented after our really unhappy real estate experience last spring with a Realtor who seemed great and gung-ho at the start, then let me down every step of the way. I REALLY don't want to use a Realtor to list our house when we sell in a year or so, because I think it's a total rip off to pay someone such a buttload of money for things I can do better myself - photos, write-up, staging, etc.- I basically redid everything our agent did because it all sucked (anyone remember the swans??) But I also know from experience that FSBO isn't the way to go, so I'm not sure what we'll do. ((Sorry to any Nestie Realtors, I'm sure you're awesome and in that 10% that may actually be trustworthy.))
2) Putting one kid down for a nap while the other one is awake SUCKS. So today, when I went to put A down for his nap, I put V in her bouncy chair facing the TV because she was cranky and totally unwilling to play in her crib or on her play mat. I was desperate. It was the news, so at least she got an education.

I love reading the Family Matters board on the nest becuase it always makes me feel better about disliking my MIL so much. It's nice to know other people have it way worse than I do.

I get on DH's case if he is on baby duty and I see him on the computer or watching TV, but DD definitely gets "independent playtime" when I'm on duty.
I justify it in my head by the fact that he has her for 4 hours a day, 5 days a week and I have her all the rest of the time. Literally. Nighttime is mine, the rest of the day is mine (while he's at work) and he isn't usually home on weekends, so those are mine too. I figure I "earn" my independent playtime and he shouldn't need it when he only has her for 20 hours of the whole week.

Can I e-mail you about this too?
DH is playing old music videos (80s and 90s) on YouTube. He didn't grow up here, so he thinks they're funny. I am embarrassed to admit that so far, I know all of them and even have some on my iPod.
And, yes, we're both working at home today...if you can call what he's doing working.
ETA: I just started singing along with an Erasure song he was playing and DH told me it's embarrassing that I knew it.
Sure!

Love this too!
It is!?? Dang I should've used that for mine! Isn't it the most relaxing thing ever? Listening to the tapes and practicing the techniques basically cured all of my sleeping issues during pregnancy.
I just got it today. Downloading them now. I plan on diving into the book and cd's this weekend.
lol, well you're doing a pretty good job with the typing - I see no glaring mistakes!
Yay for prom!
DH makes fun of my main Pandora station regularly. It's almost exclusively Erasure, Pet Shop Boys, The Cure, Depeche Mode, and New Order. You can come to my house for a singalong anytime.
We can send the husbands out to listen to whatever inferior stuff they want.
batsteph, I knew I liked you. I'd listen to your station anytime. Add in some Duran Duran though.
Erasure is my 2nd favourite band. They are awesome.
