Update on DD

Here is my post from last night.

https://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/35512813.aspx

I took her back to the doctor today. Everything looked fine except she failed the hearing test for the second time. We need to meet with an audiologist. The last time I thought she failed it because of a cold. Now, she's very clear.

They did a urine sample since she is having so many accidents lately.

I have to take her for an x-ray to check her adenoids. If they are enlarged, we'll be off to an ENT. Hopefully it's as simple as removing them. Please tell that part is simple itself!

The benedryl helped her have 2 hours of uninterrupted sleep last night. That's the longest she has slept in 5 nights total. I told DH that maybe we need to give her one-on-one time with each of us this weekend. And try to keep her stress free. She has been saying she misses daddy every morning. She has also been telling me that when she get bigger she wants to live here with us. "Mommy, I don't ever want to move away." She tells me this everyday.

Re: Update on DD

  • Oh, I just want to hug her. I hope the doctors can help her out so you all don't have to keep going through this! (((hugs)))

  • Poor girl! I'm glad she got a little bit of rest.  I have no idea how you're holding it together but your daughter is lucky to have you as a mom. I hope you get some answers soon.

I'm not holding it together. When she's not around I am a sobbing mess. I'm sure it's worse because of my own lack of sleep.

  • ek - yes but you're holding it together FOR HER.  It's ok to break down & let it out later, she sees that you are ok, that's the part that counts right now.

    Hang in there chica.

  • And holy cow. I told her the doctor wanted her to take a nap today. She fought it a little, but she hasn't come out yet. Please let her nap!
  • Oh, hun!  ((((hugs))))

  • I lurk and have been following this. Poor ALL of you! She sounds like she internalizes a lot of stuff. I think 1:1 time sounds like a good idea. Good luck!
