After a scary trip to L&D on Tuesday, I cut myself off from my crazy commute (10 min walk to train, commuter train for 40 min, 2 subways, and then 5 min walk to office).
I have to say, despite the fact I work for some douche -tastic managers, they were pretty receptive to my proposal that I work from home and come in the office 1x a week for the next month. After that, I'll be 100% homebound. I was fully prepared for them to say no, but they jumped on it so quickly I was totally shocked. I guess they rather have me in some capacity rather than being completely out.
Yay! I'm so glad this turned out well.
Re: No more commuting
I had to stop the train at about 15 or 16 weeks because I almost passed out twice. I couldn't imagine doing it at 23 weeks. Good for you - I think that is the smart thing. I also think at some point bosses look at us and see a walking law suit!
