Is Aubrey still on Enfamil AR? Our pedi recommended we start James on Similac RS. I can't find that there is a generic for the Similac. Does the Enfamil work well for A?
She is on the Target version of the A.R. To me it works the same as the Enfamil. When we put her on it we saw a difference, but she still did spit up a lot even with it. Especially the morning bottles for some reason. I always kept a bib on her.
At her 6 month last week her doctor finally put her on Zantac, so now we have almost no spitting up! She still does it a bit if she decides she wants to shake her self up playing directly after a bottle, but I can actually take the bibs off of her within an hour of her eating! The doctors reason for putting her on the Zantac was because this has been going on since she was a month old and sometime around 5 months she turned form happy spitting to screaming every time we burped her or she burped on her own.
Sorry to butt-in, but Parent's Choice has a Sensetivity formula that is like the Similac. At least that is what I have seen. Good luck! We put Madi on the Sam's Club version of Enfamil Gentlease and it works great. And is MUCH cheaper.
Thanks. James was on the Target Gentlease for his gassiness, but it did nothing for the spit up and screaming while burping. The older he got, the worse it got. We did half and half bottles last night and so far today and he's already spitting up less. And burping much more easily. I may just stick with the similac and see if I can buy in bulk/use formula checks with sales. Katie said one of her friends had to give up giving her baby breastmilk bc of reflux. James doesn't get much breastmilk anymore, but I hope to go a little while longer doing both!
