She wasn't quite the 9 lbs 12 oz they predicted. She was 9 lbs 3 oz but that caused enough trouble. She had shoulder dystocia, which is way worse than I knew at the time. I googled it. Pretty much her head and one shoulder came out and her other shoulder got stuck behind my pubic bone. Very dangerous.
He got her out by going through my rectum (ouch, and still ouch) and moving her shoulder. This Dr. wanted to do a C section since he walked in the door, but I had 2 AMAZING labor nurses who tried everything and were so helpful.
She came on her own April 17th, 11 days late.
She's super healthy, red hair and does not sleep at all at night. Probably a lot more posts about that soon! Hopefully not. DH was able to be at the delivery since she came on Sat, and they let him go a bit early on Mon to come get us from the hospital.
Pics coming soon!
