Pregnant after a Loss

Headaches - help please!

I have been having some severe headaches for the last week.  Anyone have any suggestions for how to get rid of them?  Please help!  TIA.

  • Did you recently cut out your daily caffeine?  If so, that's probably what's causing them.  Maybe try a small amount of caffeine to see if it helps.

  • I get migranes normally so when I got pg and found out that I could take my migrane meds I was a little worried. Here is what works for pg me w/ a headache:

    *take two tylenol

*sip on some coke (the caffine is good for helping headaches)

*get a cold compress or wet wash rag

*lay down and rest your eyes for 30-45 mintues in a dark, quiet room with the cold compress on your forehead

    Hope this helps!

I wasn't really eating a lot of caffeine before (I'd cut out caffeine before getting pregnant) but thanks for your suggestion!  I may try a handfull of M&Ms though to see if that helps :-)

  • I have been having this issue as well...it seems to be worse when I don't drink a lot (and I mean bordering on obscene amounts) of water.  If they do happen, sips of caffeine and tylenol can be helpful.

  • Staying hydrated and having a little caffeine every day are the only things that work for me. If it's late in the day, I drink a coke.

  • My dr ok'd Excedrine Tension and I saw my neurologist last week and she prescribed Fioricet. I get headaches daily now and have always been a migraine sufferer. It sucks!
