Rash from drooling

My LO has a rash on his neck that I think is from drooling.  It has slowly gotten worse and now it is getting itchy and spreading.  I have tried Aquafor at night which helps.  Is there anything else I can do?  Anyone else go through this?

I have a call into the doctor.

    We have been putting lotion and hydrocrtisone on it, but it is not clearing up. doc says it will, just try to keep clean and dry during the day.

    You are going to think I am crazy, but my pedi recommended Butt Paste for that.  We tried it and it cleared up in less than 2 days.

    I have Butt Paste at home.  I will give it a try.  Just talked to doc and they told me to keep it dry and use Aquafor.  I feel so bad for LO.  His little neck is itchy and mommy is stuck at work.  On positive note DH is picking him up some and has been instructed on what to do.
