***carebear***

I think your son goes to the same daycare as my little one, and they might even be in the same class...

Been meaning to tell you, but I don't get on that often at all.

Re: ***carebear***

  • haha!  That's cool!  I am so bad about knowing the other kids!  I recognize a few here and there when I drop off or pick up, but only know like 2 names (the ones that transfered from the infant room with him) .  I'll have to look out for your LO.

  • Yeah I know what you mean! My husband is the one who usually drops her off and picks her up, but every once in a while I get to.

Actually, I recognized who I thought might be you at the Spring Parade, but I felt kind of silly going up and saying, hey aren't you carebear from the nest!

My little one just transferred there from the daycare down the street in March, so she is still a newbie there.

  • Yep, I was there!  It was a fluke that I could even go.  I started doing work that morning, and got stuck at home, so by the time I finished up to head to the office, it was time for the parade, so I drove down.  DH had already planned to be there, so it was fun that we were both there.  I had to leave right before the easter egg hunt, though, b/c I was one of the ones parked in the driveway! lol.  That parking lot was a zoo!

How did you like the other place?  We were on waiting lists for both (we were at another DC down 518) and our "current one" called us first, so we moved him there.  I thought "ours" was kind of "too prestigious" when we visited, but now that he is there, I really like it.  I liked our infant room teachers a little better, though - they were so sweet!

  • Hey - wasn't I your SS a few years ago?
  • Funny! Yeah that parking was a zoo! I was talking to one of the other parents and he said that at Valentine's day (which was before we were there), that they actually towed some cars! We actually parked behind someone and as soon as the parade was over, my mom kept an eye on the car while I went in to make sure we did not need to move it for whomever we were blocking.

The other place was nice, the teachers in the infant room were great at the other place as well, in fact one of them is our regular babysitter now.

We moved daycares at the same time that Sophia was going to move over to the other room at the other daycare, so the transition was smooth. I actually like this one better because 1) they are more structured and 2) they seem to encourage more independence.

Yep, you were my SS a few years ago, that was when I was more active on the boards, I remember because we were living in apartments then, while we were waiting for our house to be built, and my DH waited like a week to tell me we had a package at the front office.  I always felt bad that it took me a while to thank you! :)
