We had a really great time yesterday. I was glad Monte went with my because it was very chaotic. It's definitely not something I could do on my own! The boys had their own trailer with plenty of room to crawl around and play. We could easily put two pack n' plays in there, which is good to know for next time. We got there, sat around for a long time, met with wardrobe and got their outfits picked (mostly used our stuff) then sat around for a long time again. We were assigned our own assistant to help us out all day and she was awesome. She finally got us to take us over to the Riggins' house.
Their scenes yesterday were with Aimee, Derek & Madison. Everyone was really nice and friendly. I've known Madison for a very long time. I first started teaching her when she was in 3rd grade. It was fun to catch up. Derek is awesome with the kids. Every time they stopped shooting he would come in and talk to me and play with whoever Aimee didn't have. I got to sit with the director and watch everything on the monitors, which was neat. They actually had a guy who came around with water, lemonade, gum and candy. Awesome.
They shot two longer scenes with lots of different takes. That took a couple of hours. Then we broke for what they call lunch and I call dinner at about 5:30. I put the boys in the car and drove them around to nap for an hour. We got to pick as much food as we wanted off of a list with about 20 different things. I had a Caesar salad, arroz con pollo, a cheese filled papoosa and a chocolate chip cookie. It was a ton of food and it was really good. They brought it to us in our trailer, but I ate in the car while the babies slept. Unfortunately 5:30 is way too early for me to eat dinner, hence the Sonic stop at 10:30 on my way home! After lunch/dinner we filmed two more shorter scenes. It was right before we started the 3rd scene that they told me they wanted a sleeping baby for the last one. HA, I mean sure, we'll give it a shot. I did manage to nurse Mason to sleep but they wanted him face down on Derek's chest and we woke him with the transfer. They finally gave up and used a doll.
It was a really long day. I don't even feel like I did much but I was exhausted by the time we got home! I learned two things. One is that if Monte can't come with me or keep Rhett with him then I will have to have a helper to shuffle the babies around while I entertain Rhett in the trailer. Two is that I have no clue what I am doing. I keep asking the wrong questions of the wrong people and making a fool of myself. Luckily they are really nice about it. Not sure yet when we will need to go back.
Re: My FNL review so far
That's so cool! Thanks for the review :-) It's fun to get a taste of stardom
Oh, and let me know if you ever need a helper - I'll be there!!!
Adding this to my list of things to do:
1) Shake Coach Taylor's hand and run immediately to MrsRosie's house without washing said hand so that she can then shake it.
2) Pick up anything Coach Taylor has used and set down to take to MrsRosie (i.e. straws, cups, napkins, etc.). Try not to be too obvious about it so I don't stand out even more than I already do.
3) Grab Coach Taylor's butt and be sure to mention that MrsRosie made me do it. I'm sure I won't get in trouble as long as I mention I was coerced.
Haven't met him yet. Hoping I'll get to before it's all over though!

That is so awesome! I love FNL!
So, I'm not sure if you can even say, but who has a baby boy this season? DH and I are trying to figure out if the character that was having an abortion last season didn't really do it. We could be totally wrong though! Or is it Derek's baby?

That is so cool! I'm glad Day 1 went smoothly. I will totally be a back-up helper if you need one

Adored Austin (my blog)
Although there is supposedly still debate, I believe it is very likely that this is the last season. So they will work now through August. We wouldn't be opposed to doing some other stuff if this goes well. We shall see!
Sheesh, I meant to say Stacey not Aimee. I don't know why I keep doing that. Derek Phillips is Billy Riggins on the show. Stacey Oristano plays his wife on the show, whose name I don't even remember (she used to be a stripper - on the show I mean) and Madison Burge plays Becky Sproles. She is new in Season 4 though, so I haven't even seen her on the show yet. We don't have Direct TV so we haven't seen it since Season 3.
This is probably a spoiler if you don't have Direct TV and haven't seen Season 4, so don't read on if you don't want to know!

Okay, hopefully that covers it so no one will get mad at me. M and W are Stevie Riggins, son of Billy (Derek) and his wife.

Olivia (my 14 y/o) has met Coach Taylor a few times. He is the nicest of the bunch, IMO.
I will have to dig up O's FNL pics to share.
on your FB updates yesterday I had to seriously restrain myself from saying "jealous!" after every single entry!
Thanks so much for the updates -- totally awesome!
