So the friend who cancelled on me, well I cancelled on her first. I was supposed to watch her kid this morning while she went to the doctor, then she was going to watch Layna for me tomorrow. Except she tells me that her kid has been throwing up for two nights and has a fever. She was still going to her appt, but I told her I couldn't come because I don't want Layna to get sick. I figured she'd reschedule her appt and take the kid to the pediatrican.
Nope. She thinks its just something he ate, he's fine. She's taking him with her to her appt.
I can't decide if I should feel guilty because for cancelling, or if I should try to argue with her that her kid is actually sick.
Re: now I feel bad. Validate me, please
I thought food poisoning could cause a fever?

not that I'm an expert or anything. I think you were still in the right for not wanting to expose L to anyone who could possibly be ill.
I don't know much about food poisoning. Jakob had a weird 18 hour flu thing back in February. He had a fever and was throwing up but I don't know if it was something he ate or a virus.
The annoying part is...I was with this girl all yesterday morning. We're halfway to Waco when she tells me the kid had been throwing up and had a fever of 102, but now he's all better because she gave him Motrin. And I'm like...uhhhhhfuck. But he seemed fine all day, so yeah we figured a food issue. But then he's still sick this morning. So now I'm annoyed that 1) I didn't turn the car around yesterday and make her take the kid home and 2) she still wanted me to come babysit today.
Well, I am pretty cool.
