I failed my 1-hr test with a level of 162. They said the cut-off is 135. So she said my number wasn't terribly high but I still have to go for the 3-hour..
Anyway, my question for you is if you failed the 1-hr what was your level and did you pass the 3-hr ok?
Did they make you do a 'special diet' for 3 days leading up to the test?
TIA!
Re: Yep, failed my 1-hr... Question for you MoMs
I failed the 1 hour by 7 points (142 with a cut off of 135). I passed the 3 hour though.
They didn't tell me to eat any special diet, but I watched my carbs and sugar leading up to it, just in case!
My 1 hour number was 202. I was told not to take the 3 hour because there was no chance I would pass it with my 1 hour number. So, stay hopeful!
If you want to follow a more GD type of diet prior to your test to see if it helps, cut out most of your carbs and sweets and go for more high protein foods and veggies.

I failed my 1 hour with a 152 or something.....and passed the three hour. No "special" diet prior to the 3 hour, just fasted 12 hours prior to the test (I still drank water though).
That being said, I know others who had lower numbers than I did and failed the three hour, so I don't think it necesssarily depends on what your number was for the 1 hour (obviously the PP with the really high numbers would be the exception!).
My Doctors cutoff was 140 and I my number was 164. They told me to fast for 10 hours prior to my 3-hour test but I could still drink water. I passed the 3-hour test luckily.
Take a book and something to do, it is really boring sitting there for 3 hours.
