Re: ~*Weekly PG Check-in*~
No, we will not be using a birth plan. I was induced with my previous pregnancy and I will be induced this time as well. It all went very smoothly last time and I look forward to it HOPEFULLY going just as smoothly this time. ;-)
I am feeling great other than my tailbone/lower back pain. It is horrible on the right side. I have been planted on the couch on top of a heating pad as much as I can.
CONGRATS to the new mamas!
QOTW: I'm not doing a birth plan this time mainly because of another c-section. I did one last time and in the end, I don't think I even brought it with me or showed anyone. I think it's nice to have an idea of how you would like things to go, but if you have never been in labor and given birth before, it's really hard to decide for yourself what you really want to happen.
I'm feeling pretty good, the chiropractor is helping out a lot! I'm also really excited to be feeling the baby so much already and it looks like we will be finding out the gender on my birthday! I can't wait!
Angie&Doc ~ my chiropractor said heat is not always the best thing for pains like that. I had told him that I was doing heat on my lower back pain and he had said it actually makes it worse and the inflamed area more irritated. If you want to try and soothe it, try ice. He basically said heat is only a temporary fix if it seems to work.
QOTW: I honestly don't know what I would put on a birth plan other than: Keep crazy MIL in the waiting room. I jokingly tell DH his main role in the labor is margarita maker. If anyone has a birth plan they'd like to share...so I know what I should be putting on one, I'd love to see it!
Update on me: I started testing my blood sugars last night and just want to say thank you again to the ladies that replied to my post. Other than trying to figure out how to only poke myself once and use only 1 stripe...it's going fine!
Congrats to all the new mommies!
QOTW:
1) Ask for a sedative...nothing that will harm baby...but something that will relax me (I cried for my Mommy last time...so sad.)
2) Get baby out safely - repeat c-section.
3) Make sure doc "ties tubes"...GOOD!
4) Make sure they give me some reaaaally good anti-itch medicine...spinals make me go itch-crazy!!! OMG
5) Ask my bartender (DH) for some champagne!
UPDATE:
I find out the sex of mah baybay tomorrow! Yaaaay! So excited.
As usual, tired. Now add depressed, tho' (see my post below here somewhere). I am not sleeping well either...and my crotch hurts. enh. par for the course.
Congrats new mommies and good luck "mommies-in-wait".
Thanks! I don't know that I could handle the cold ice though. ;-) My doc said heating pad and Tylenol. ? Hopefully the baby will move positions soon and the pain will go away. ;-) Thanks for the info.
They use a product called "biofreeze". I've never tried it before, but maybe applying it only to that direct spot is easier to handle than real ice on it.
thanks for the love.
qotw: repeat scheduled csection on may 4th. because of the complications i'm dealing with, we won't be tying tubes afterall. but that means i get to be at the hospital i prefer, so that's good.
updates: i can't decide how much blood is enough blood to worry about. i know if i call, they'll want to admit me - better safe than sorry. but i just had a tiny clot (just now), and same thing yesterday - that's it. it's dark in color so i don't think it's fresh blood, and like i said, it was tiny. i'm not calling. but then i worry that i'm being too lenient bcse i don't want to have the csection this early if it's really not necessary. feh.
No birth plan for us! DD decided to arrive on the day we were scheduled for our hospital tour last time. We learned really quickly that any plans we had were going to go right out the window. Hopefully we'll be a little more prepared this time-- well, hopefully this little one will stay put until at least 37 weeks!
I'm feeling pretty good this week. My sciatic pain has been pretty bad, though. Almost 14 weeks, and I officially busted out my maternity clothes last night. It feels good to be in stretchy pants, but it is so much earlier than with DD. Craziness.
My next appointment/cervix check is Monday. Any spare "good cervix length" dust is appreciated! Also, there's a CHANCE we'll get an early peek at what we're having.
Congrats to the healthy babies and the new mommies!
Birth Plan: 1) I want to be in a birthing tub for the worst parts 2) whatever the midwives say after that goes. haha I may get pickier as the time gets closer.
Feeling good, leaky boobs freaked me out earlier, but we are a-okay now.
Congrats to all the new moms!
We are officially on Team Pink! Couldn't be more excited!
We don't have a birth plan. I just want to be kept as comfortable and as happy as possible.
Our Family Blog
Congrats to the new mommies! And t&p to Jezca.
No birth plan yet. It might be a good idea but I don't have a lot of requests other than no epi and no one except DH in the room with me. (Possibly my sister, if she's able to be there.) And the champagne after sounds like a GREAT idea!
I'm feeling pretty good. Retaining some water, so my ankles/feet swell which is really pretty. (Thank you, mom, for passing that along.) My hips haven't hurt as consistently since going to prenatal yoga on Monday. I think I'll keep going twice a week for as long as we're here.
QOTW: Working on it...I think we're about to start a hypnobabies course and hope that a plan develops from this...My main thing is to keep the ILs (and their button pushing comments) faaaaaaaaaaaar away.
Update: feeling great and loving it. I'm ready to get through the next few weeks of work so I can relax and enjoy baby girl a little more and get going on our baby list.
