Jon always gets an ear full from me when he gets home from work b/c of all the politically charged updates on fb. They (literally) make my blood pressure go up.eta: not from him, but b/c the poor guy has to be my sounding board.
I have only de-friended one person (EVER) and it was b/c of his non-stop anti-govt. rants (and I'm pretty conservative when it comes to govt. involvement).
Anyway, not to start a political posts rant, but I'm with ya.
Oh. And this (which, I'm assuming you've seen, but if not- prepare yourself for the awesome):

Re: *chicklit* re: ignoring the political posts on fb
::butting in::
That was hilarious.
That is made of win. I can put names to each of those.
Oh, the stories our husbands could swap. DH isn't much into facebook so he was a little baffled during my full on rage during the 2008 election. After that, I just hid everyone that said anything political (even if I agree with them). Much more peaceful that way.
And besides, I don't wanna be that guy.
that may or may not have happened in my house last night.
whaaaaa??? you were supposed to be making out with your hubs. which, btw, I got stuck in some gnarly traffic, sorry I couldn't be there.
I had never seen this before. Very funny!! I have defriended someone before. Maybe twice. One was the wife of my friend who was getting divorced. I was friends with him years before they were married and she turned out to not be the nicest wife. I think I also defriended someone I didn't know very well who did not return my message to them once we became friends.
