We just bought a king size bed (SO excited). This is the first time either of us has had anything larger than queen size. We have normal pillows that we LOVE ($80 pillows that I can always find the day after thanksgiving for $20!). I just opened up my new sheet set and realized the pillow cases are HUGE (long) I could almost fit 2 of my regular pillows in one pillow case. Im just kinda bummed because I dont want to go out and buy new pillows and I got really nice sheets so I dont really want to spend the money on smaller pillow cases (I guess I would get queen size if I decide to do this???)

Re: I have a strange problem...(NBR)
Yes king size pillows are much larger.
I would just use your old queen size pillowcases.
I put 3 pillows length wise on my bed when I made it till it was time to buy new ones then I bought king pillows. It fits.
Your king size sheet set came with king size pillow cases. If you go buy new cases you should get the standard/queen size pillow cases.

If you can sew, cut them and sew a hem. If not, get some hem (no sew, iron on) tape and do the same.
Side note-king sized pillows are so amazing!
lmao cute!
I'm a cheapskate, so I'd probably use the king cases on regular pillows until thanksgiving, and then go buy the king size ones. Or, go back to the old pillowcases, if they match.
You can get good King sized pillows at Bed Bath and Beyond for only $10. They can last you unitl you can get the pillows you really want after Thanksgiving.
DH and I have a King bed and when when we buy new sheets we also buy two "standard" pillow cases to go with them, that way we have the two king pillows and then two queen pillows.
