Another use for all those flannel receiving blankets

I had posted previously about how I use blankets cut up into roughly 5X5 squares as (mostly) disposable washcloths for Emily. Today, Abby has a really bad diaper rash from diarrhea. In case you didn't know, most wipes burn like a sonofabitch. I didn't realize how bad until Abby told me "Stop hurting me Mommy! Booty Owie!" Yeah. I felt really bad. Instead, I got a bowl of warm water and used my Emily washcloths. Voila, happy toddler, happy mommy.

I also use them (uncut!) for "towels" for Emily. After seeing that's how they dry the babies in the nursery, it made sense.  I put one across my chest as I pull her from the tub and then one over her back. Then when I lay her down to dry/change/dress - she's already laying on one clean towel with one over the top to dry her nooks and crannies.

BTW - I didn't even get any blankets for Emily, I'm still using the 25+ I had from Abby!
