Trying to Get Pregnant

Charting question re. fallback rise.

Hi all!

Here's the deal. I typically have a fallback rise (one day drop in temperature post-ovulation after which temps rise and stay risen throughout luteal phase). It typically occurs 2 DPO, though - one odd month - it occured at 3 DPO. Never, never later than that.

This month, however, I'm on 4 DPO with NO fallback rise, so I'm wondering...

Where I typically have a fallback rise, and this cycle I haven't seen it, might this be a pregnancy symptom? Any of you have similar experiences? Insights?

Of course, like so many of us, I can't resist reading into every little bodily nuance in the course of my two-week wait! Pretty please help me process this one. :) Many thanks!

Re: Charting question re. fallback rise.

  • I think it is much too early for ANY pregnancy symptoms.

Probably just a fluke or a normal fluctuation.  Relax!

  • I am in no way an expert, but I wouldn't think it would be a symptom.  I believe implantation occurs somewhere between 7-10 DPO, so it would be a little too early for any "signs/symptoms".  Also, you will have cycles that are different from your "norm".  GL, though!

  • Have you been charting longer than FF shows (4 cycles)? If not, it seems like not enough cycles to really nail down a 'pattern' like that- so I'd stay on the skeptical side to be safe. GL though- and I know it'll be a long 2ww!! If anything- it's not BAD news! :)
  • I think it's too early for a pregnancy symptom.  I have fallback rises some cycles from 2-5dpo, but other cycles I don't have one at all.  How many cycles have you been charting?

Go look at your own charts. You had one on 4dpo as well. It doesn't look like you've been charting long enough to be able to say that you "always" anything.

Also, there is no 'sign' at 3-4 dpo that you might get pregnant this cycle, no matter what your temps do. It's too early for it to mean anything.

    Good luck.

  • Thanks all!

I've been charting for about 7 months though only managed to get four cycles uploaded to FF which I'm still learning to use.

    Y'all are awesome. Appreciate it!
