thanks and update

in follow-up to this post, thank you so much for the prayers and encouragement. hard to believe it's been just over a week!

the bleeding has improved to the point that it's just occasional spotting (every couple of days or so) and is dark, so i think it's just old stuff flushing out. but the cough continues and has in fact gotten worse, even after a z-pack and codine cough syrup every 4 hours and bed rest. so yesterday i saw my general practitioner. get this - he thinks the cough is being caused by acid reflux? lungs sound clear and sinuses look good. so he's putting me on some heavy duty acid reflux stuff and says i should see an improvement by friday. fingers crossed.

in the meantime, still on bed rest and thinking non-bleeding thoughts. early csection is scheduled for may 4th (10 days early). i need to be well before going into surgery, ideally, and the cough needs to stop so that the bleeding will completely stop. doc has said that since i'm almost 37 weeks, if i have bleeding or any other slight signs of labor, we're going ahead with a csection, no point in trying to hold out.

so that's that. bed rest is sooo much better than it was when i was pregnant with aubrey, because i can sit (i had pre-e with her and had to keep my feet above my heart). and she's handling it pretty well. i'm going to try to take her to dance class today because i hate for her to miss again - here's hoping she lets me just sit against the wall while she participates.
