If you have the bib with plastic on the front

Maybe this is a dumb question, but can you put the bibs with the plastic coating on the front in the washing machine? I assume you can but maybe a better question is can you put it in the dryer? I've just been wiping them down until now but they are really in need of more than that.

Re: If you have the bib with plastic on the front

  • I never have. I just wash them with really hot water then hang them to dry. They get really nasty.. I dont think they are for keeping to long.. Unless theres a trick to washing them. The tag on ours says no machine wash or dry.

  • What kind of "plastic coating" do you mean?

Do you mean they are waterproof, like have material on one side and plastic on the other? If so, yes they can go in the washer/dryer.

I guess this is what I mean. They don't have a tag on them so I am really not sure what it is, and I threw out the packaging long before I was concerned about washing.

There are bibs with like a cloth material on the front and plastic on the back. those are ok to wash

the bibs with the full plastic on the front and back are not ok to wash in machine. I think Bumpkin makes them or something like that...

  • I have plasticy ones too and I have never washed them. I do the whole hot water thing...once they get a little icchhh...then I trash and get new ones.
  • i just hand wash mine in soapy hot water then let it air dry.

  • One of my plastic bibs didn't do so well in the dryer so I usually wash them and hang to dry if needed.
