Dairy free moms - coffeemate??

Is this ok? It says it's non-dairy, but there are some ingredients that look iffy, although I checked the website and they claim the products are so altered that they can't be classified as dairy.

I am going non-dairy as of Monday, so I'm still figuring things out. I need my coffee though! I tried almond milk but it's just not creamy enough!

Thanks!

Re: Dairy free moms - coffeemate??

  • Can you drink Soy milk?  If so Silk has a creamer for coffee, here's a link.  I've tried it before, and thought it was the same as coffeemate.  I think I actually liked it better.

  • Okay, so I have no clue how to make a clicky link.  Sorry.  Have you thought about trying Mimic Cream?  https://www.mimiccreme.com/  I've never used it, but have heard wonderful things about it!

MimicCreme Unsweetened??Purified Water, Almonds, Cashews, Sodium Bicarbonate, Rice Starch, Non-Iodized Salt

MimicCreme Coffee Creamer??Purified Water, Almonds, Cashews, Dipotassium Phosphate, Bicarbonate Soda, Rice Starch, Salt

  • Thanks! I'll have to try the silk creamer...I was afraid it would be super watery. So far it's just dairy we're avoiding, so hopefully soy will be ok. It seems like everything I'm eating now w/out dairy has soy, so I can imagine giving that up would really be tough!
