TTC after 35

Tell me it is too soon to test!!

Tomorrow morning I will be 9 days past IUI.  I have a pregnancy test that just stares at me every morning :)  I am trying to make it till Thur but it seems so far away.  I started out this cycle feeling very positive but have lost that feeling the last few days.

Re: Tell me it is too soon to test!!

  • Implantation often feels like you are starting to get AF! Stay positive and hold off until at least 10 full days. I wait until 12 days. But then again, I am cheap and hate spending so much money on those tests. Good luck!

  • It is a hard urge to resist!! GL and Thursday is now tomorrow....one more day to make it thru! I am 9DPO and going to try to wait thru the weekend, good thing to be visiting the IL's this weekend to keep busy.

    Positive thoughts to you!!

  • I'm a big one on waiting. . . but good luck either way!  I hope this is your BFP cycle!

  • Its too early.  just pack the test somewhere you can't see it for a few days.  Good luck!  Hope to hear about your BFP in 3-5 days!
I give up trying to get a ticker.  I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome.  Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself.  Hmmm.  How about...

  • PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't test early, not even at 10 days.

I found out yesterday that I had a chemical pregnancy. I got my first positive at 11 days dpo, and continued to get BFPs for two more days. then, the lines started getting lighter and I began to fear the worst. I had a beta done on monday, got the results yesterday (negative) and started AF last night.

chemical pregnancies are super cruel. I posted about this yesterday and someone responded with something that made so much sense: We think the only bad thing that could come out of testing early is getting a BFN, but going through a chemical preg is way worse. If I had waited to test, I never would have known, which would have been fine with me.

please don't test. wait until you're late.

I would wait if you can - if you test early and its a BFN it doesn't really tell you anything and its heartbreaking to see that.

  • it's too soon!!  I know it's incredibly tempting but I would wait.  I am no longer going to test until AF is officially a day late.
  • Thanks ladies.  This is exactly what I needed :)

going through a cp is terrible.  i had one at 5 weeks this past december.  currently in the 2ww at 9dpo.  i refuse to test until i'm late and even then i might still wait a little longer.
