when will i get my period?

just wondering how long it takes after you stop nursing? i stopped nursing 3-4 weeks ago. i was regular before i got pregnant.

Hard to say.  I think it's different for every woman.  I got mine while I was still nursing at 9mo pp, so who knows.  Could be a few more weeks or even months.  If you don't have it in a few more weeks I would call your OB and ask about it.

I agree with bride--it just varies for everyone. I got my period at 12 weeks pp and I'm STILL nursing.

I got mine a couple weeks ago.....still nursing.

I got mine at 8 months while still nursing, but I asked my Dr about it because I was worried that I wouldn't get it without meds (I think that this was my first period since high school that didn't have to be brought on or stopped by meds.)  I can't remember exactly, but I *think* he told me to call him if I hadn't gotten a period within several months (6?) of weaning and then we would go from there.  He also knew that my goal was to nurse past a year so that might have something to do with it.  Enjoy it while it lasts!

I got mine about a month after stopping. I stopped at about 8 months. Ditto the others- enjoy it while you can!

will enjoy it....we are just try to decide when to ttc again   and i want to have regular period to keep track of everything.

Varies. I got mine 2 months post-partum, to the day. Sucked. I exclusively breastfed for 6 months and continued to breastfeed for 6 months after that. So yeah - of the 12 months I breastfed, 10 were with a period.

I really hope I get a longer vacation from AF this time! But not holding my breath.
