Can anyone rec. a good nursing book?

I am waiting to hear back from my friend who is an OBGYN but in the mean time I thought I'd get some of y'alls recommendations.Can anyone recommend a good book on nursing? I pumped around the clock with my first and think I should try to do a better job with this next one at nursing her directly! Thanks for any help!!

I think "The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding" (or something like that) is considered a classic. Good luck!

Hey!  I can't believe how close you are getting- so exciting!!    I think when Kennedy was born I read all of the breastfeeding sections in Dr. Sears' The Baby Book, but when we started having issues, I met with Cheryl, the lactation consultant at Special Addition, and honestly it was far and away more helpful than anything I could have read.  In your case, I would definitely ask to meet with the hospital's lactation consultant as soon as possible and every day while you are there, and then if you have any trouble after you get home, make an appointment to meet with Cheryl as soon as it starts.  Her fee was around $100 when I used her nearly two years ago, but it was worth every penny in the frustration it saved me.  Also, once you have met with her, she will call and check in on you a few times after and she will be available to you by phone for any additional questions you have.  Good luck!  (And hopefully you won't even need her - it may be way easier this time around!)
