Re: ~*~IVF Check-in 4.20.10~*~

  • Good luck to all my cycling ladies!

Update: In the second week of the 2ww.  Beta is on Monday.  Argh!

GL ladies! I hope there are tons of BFP announcements coming up!

I have a follie check in a bit but should be triggering tonight.  We've had some drama with the uro and that is causing some (ok - a crap ton) stress.  I just hope we have some usable sperm for Thurs.  (I really, really don't like our uro - let me know if I post too much crap about what a twatwaffle he is, I can try to stop).  I'm worried that it will be too old or they'll all die off between now and ER day.

QOTD:  I would totally be a SAHW (or work part time) if we could swing it.  I think I'd get involved in a lot of stuff.  And stay home to cuddle with my fur babies :D

  • Loading the player...
  • QOTD:  I am a SAHW...mostly due to the Navy and our IVF schedule.  I really enjoy it but there are times that I miss working...I try to keep busy with other stuff and make plans with friends.  I am also solely responsible for keeping our house clean and organized.  (DH does the yardwork though!)  Thankfully his income from the Navy does afford us this option!

PPV to all my IVF ladies!

  • QOTD: I'm not sure if I'd be happy being a full-time SAHW. I could definitely deal with working part-time, but I think I'd get bored if it was full-time. I would consider being a SAHM, at least through the early years, but even then, I think I'd always like to work at least a day or so a week.

Update: AF showed today, so I'm going in for b/w and u/s tomorrow and then will start stims tomorrow night. If all goes according to plan, ER will be around 5/3!

  • Can I join the group?

I'll be moving onto IVF #4 hopefully in May, just waiting on AMH number to determine protocol.

QOTD:  I am a SAHW as of now, laid off in 2008, and still unemployed! ;(  not gonna lie - I love it.

  • Good luck to everyone this week!!

QOTD: I would stay at home.  Partly because I feel old (could be all of these darn hormone meds) and because I feel like I have done quite a bit career wise already.  I don't think I would look back and regret not having a successful business career.  I would actually prefer to work part time or do more volunteer work.  I just want more time for myself, more time for trips and my family. Darn these hormones!!

  • QOTD-  I do enjoy my job but I would so love to have the free time to organize my house, care for my yard, cook, etc. What I'd really love is to have the freedom to take only jobs I wanted because of the creativity, not the money.  I'm a freelance TV editor.

Update - Still BCPing away, takes forever!  Lupron starts Friday

    Julianatt, GOOD LUCK!!!!

Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • QOTD: if we could afford it, I would be a SAHW without a question.

Update: 2nd u/s is thursday. Hoping smudge continues to grow strong.

Hugs and GL to all who need them.

  • Update:  I am now on stims!

QOTD:  Probably not - I would go crazy.  My DH is the domestic one.

Good luck to everyone this week!

  • QQTD: YES!!!!!!!  I would love to stay at home or just even work part time.

Update: I did my trigger last night and ER is on 4/21.

I wish everyone what they need whether it's good luck, hugs, congrats, or ppvs!!!!!

  • Hello all!!

Update: My FET is Thursday. I am excited and nervous and anxious and scared...you get the idea!

QOTD: I could be a SAHW if I wanted to, but DH and I run a business and I enjoy working with him everyday!

  • Good luck with your beta KISSES and PPV to all the ladies with upcoming ETs!

Update - AF is here! I go in on May 7th for blood work, and if everything looks good I can start Lupron on May 8th! I can't believe I am actually exited for IVF #2 :)

QOTD - I think so. DH and I still talk about the possibility. We would have to move, but we talk about the possibility of moving to the midwest near dh's family. I love the idea of being a SAHM, but in practice I'm not sure if I would miss my job. I think I might.

  • Can I be added to the list?

1st IVF, day 7 of stims.

Question of the day: If money weren't an issue, would you consider being a SAHW?

For the most part I am a SAHW.  I do the bookkeeping for my own company, but other then that I stay at home.   Most days I love being home, especially at this time of year.  Winter get a little long and I do miss the camaraderie of working.  If the right position becomes available and TTC fails, I will go back to work.  Although I doubt I will ever work in my chosen field again.

  • Question of the day: If money weren?t an issue, would you consider being a SAHW?

Absolutely! But I'd want to volunteer whenever possible.

Update on me: Called today to see if we can start IVF #2 with next cycle. I'm hoping to start BCPs in the next couple of weeks and then have ER/ET in June.... we'll see!

Update-ET tomorrow...just hoping the embies make it!  The RE says they're doing great, but I'm going to worry until they are back in me where they belong!

Since I took this week off to"rest," I'm bored out of my mind.  I would definitely be a SAHM, but don't think I would enjoy being a SAHW.

  • QOTD:  I don't think I could do it.  I'd consider part-time or a career change, but not SAHW.

  • Good luck to everyone this week!!!

I'm sorry I haven't been around much, it's been extremely hectic at work.  Which leads into....

QOTD:  Would I be a SAHW? Ha, that thought heavily crossed my mind this morning when I was franctically rushing around trying to clean the house up before work. It would be so much easier to get everything done if I didn't work. Still, as much as I like to think I'd enjoy it, the times when I've been between jobs have been nice at first, but then I quickly get bored.  I think I need the routine of work and the interaction. Plus I enjoy my job (even though I'm stressed about it right now).

  • QOTW: I would LOVE to be a SAHM, but I'm not sure it would be good for me to be a SAHW...I think I would waste a lot of time and feel lonely. Ideally, I could just work 15-20 hours a week :)
We are adopting! Currently waiting for our domestic infant adoption match.

  • Update: waiting for surgery at the end of may. IVF moved to possibly July or August. QOTW: I don't think I could be a SAHW but it would be nice to work part time. I would love to be a SAHM but that isn't possible for us financially. I'm the major bread winner. So I found a job with longer hours but less days to help me be home more. Now I just need to be able to have the kids for this.
  • I'm new to the group and am stimming
  • QOTD: Yes, I would love being a SAHM.

UPDATE: 1st u/s tomorrow, we are very nervous

Hugs: to anyone who needs them :)

  • Question of the day: When we move to MI in June, I will be unemployed and since its a small town and my teaching license doesn't work there, I may be a SAHW for awhile.  I'll let you know what i think of it :)

Financially, I won't be able to do it too long but it may be fun for awhile while I get settled in.

    juliannat ? good luck!

Good luck to: KISSIES ? beta today

    harley12 ? ET today

    steveandkim2 ? ET tomorrow

Hugs to all of the girls who have had a rough week, I am so sorry!

Update: officially off BCP, trial transfer is complete, baseline is Thursday.  If all goes well, stims start Friday :)

  • Hey girls :)No real update, just checking in since I haven't been here in a while.

DH has his (repeat) SA on 4-30. The first one, if you did not see my post ranting about it, was an unmitigated disaster.

  • QOTD: Yes! I think about it all the time, particularly when I'm stressed. In reality, I don't know if I could do it... I might go stir crazy.

  • Update: Beta results positive but much lower then they want them. It was 35.4 they said they like to see at least 100 at 12dpt. So second beta will be thursday. I didn't do general post because I didn't want to offend others that were upset about newbies posting their beta results from prior post. Thanks for the T&P!

QOTW: I'd love to be SAHM, unfortunately that will never happen, but not SAHW I think I'd spend too much money shopping if I had all that time off! :o)

Good Luck to everyone and hugs to those who need it!

  • Sorry - coming in a day late on this one - AWFUL migrane last night :(

Question of the day: If money weren?t an issue, would you consider being a SAHW?  I'm not sure.  There are days (like yesterday) when I would leave at the drop of a dime.  And then other days I love what I do.  I think "maybe" I would and do something part-time like be an aide or something??

Nestie(s) of the day: juliannat ? everything is crossed for you J

Good luck to: KISSIES ? beta today

  • Hi girlies!

I'm still technically between cycles but my lap is next week, then as soon as AF comes I should be starting BCPs around May 1.  I am so excited to get going with IVF #3!  Break cycles are the worst... I feel so unproductive.

Anyway, congrats to JennieMarie and ALL of the April BFPs!!  I love seeing all of the good news. Big huge hugs to those who need them right now.

Now for the QOTD... I think ideally I would have a part-time job doing something I really love.  I don't think full-time SAHM is really for me, but it would be nice to have a balance somehow with money coming in but lots of time with our LO :)
