WTF m/s!!?? GRR.

I felt great for the past week or so.  No m/s as long as I kept something in my tummy.  Sleeping great.  Energy up.  Feeling smug.  I may have even strutted around a little.

Last night I woke up at 11 and thought I was going to puke for 2 hours.  I ate crackers, I tried to throw up... nothing worked.  I just had to lay there and take it.  This morning its back.  Barfo mundo- except that I can't!  I'd love to just hurl all over my office but I can't do it!

Also, I know this isn't even close to bad m/s.  I know that some of you have had bad m/s.  Just let me *** about it.  I'll be done soon. :)

  • I used to keep a banana on my nightstand so that when those middle-of-the-night nausea attacks came on, I could fight them back with a few bites of banana and some water. I have no idea why banana was the secret weapon, but there you go.

Hope you find some relief soon, either from puking your guts out or from your m/s subsiding on its own.

    Dear Bump: You suck.

  • I'm sorry!  But I'm delighted that you Feel Good Enough About It to complain.  Yay!  :)

Try some jolly ranchers.  They helped me.

  • I bet it's one last burst before it leaves!  You're definitely at the point where it starts to fizzle out for most women, and I seem to remember mine flaring up awfully for a few days before it packed its chit and left.

    Here's hoping!

    And OMG!  11 WEEKS!  ahhhhh!

  • Oh, am I 11 weeks?  Wow.  Totally didn't notice.  Very nonchalant.  Would have gone under my radar had you not said something.  I am so totally cool and collected that I just think about other things, I guess.

    (SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

  • mine went well into my 16th week and then came BACK in the 3rd tri.  That's why even though I am one of the twin moms on this board who carried the longest, my boys were the smallest.  I was too busy throwing up to keep any food down.  :)  Yay?

Anyway, ginger candy.  Find it at HEB.  Helped me a TON.  And lemon drops were good too.

  • Def. try the banana or something else like it with more substance than crackers.  The crackers never helped me and I started making oatmeal cranberry bars to keep on my nightstand.  I know it's hard to eat when you are barfing, but once I got some down it started to help some.  You are almost out of the yucky m/s stage!  It took awhile for me too... about 14 weeks or so I was feeling pretty good most of the time, with occasional bad days.

Yep! Bananas worked for me too!
