So I had to get b/w done yesterday to check my levels and they did a scan. They weren't sure if they could see a sac or not. The NP called me later in the day and said my numbers went up to 1119 from 563 on Friday and my progesterone dropped to 9. They really have no clue what's going on.
She said there is a super slight chance it could be another Ectopic pg. I am kinda shocked that it could be Ectopic after doing IVF but she said it could happen. I have to go in for b/w tomorrow morning to see what my beta is and if it drops they'll do a d&c in the afternoon. If it goes up they might wait and see what happens.
I've been googling like crazy to find some sort of answer but I can't find much. I've read about vanishing twin syndrome but we only put back 1 embryo. This is just so confusing and it sucks having to wait till tomorrow to see what's going on! Has anyone experienced this or do you know anything about what could be going on?
Re: XP- My beta went up- WTH?? (SAIFW)
Sending you tons of T&Ps for tomorrow hon.
I really hope your rising beta is a good sign.

Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2
After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
I don't have any experience with this but just wanted to let you know that I am thinking about you.
Could there have been a mistake in the lab work? Or did you get your 3rd beta done at a different lab? I'm praying you have a sticky baby that is just giving momma unneeded stress WAY too early!

From my understanding IVF does not prevent the chance of etopic and infact there is a slightly higher percentage of etopics from IVF.
How far along are you? Is it possible it is still too early to see a sac?
I am sorry you are going through this. I hope tomorrow brings something good your way (((hugs)))
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

Thank you! When I got the results last Wednesday they thought it could be an error but I went back on Friday and got the same exact numbers. I've been going to the same lab.
I am 6 weeks 1 day today.

This is true that IVF does not prevent ectopics from happening but there is no higher % due to IVF. Actually it decreases the chances because you are bypassing the tubes. The problem is once the ET takes place, the embies are floating around for approximately 2 days. That is why it is important to be on bed rest to avoid embies from floating up into your tube, due to too much movement. Regardless even with bed rest, anything is possible. I'm praying this is not the case for you. Though I will not lie or sugar coat anything, the concern is in the beta numbers. When the numbers fluctuate up and down, it typically is due to an ectopic. I would definitely have them do a good vaginal ultrasound to confirm and avoid any further rupture. I will definitely keep you in my T&P's. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. ((HUGS))
