birthing class?

I realized I need to sign up before the classes are full but I'm not sure what all my options are.  Where are you taking your birthing class?  When we move we'll live in the city but are open to options in the north suburbs (Evanston, etc.) too.  Thanks!

I delivered at Lake Forest Hospital and that is where we took our birthing class.  Does the hospital that you are delivering at offer classes?  If so, that is where I recommend that you take your class.  That way, you can learn specifics about your hospital.

I also delivered at Lake Forest Hospital and took classes through the hospital. I would check into the hospital that you are delivering at.

What kind of birthing class are you looking to take?  There are so many options out there.  We took the Great Expectations class at Prentice where we had our son, which is a great class and included a hospital tour.  I would highly recommend touring the hospital that you plan to deliver at. 

In addition to that class, we also took a 12 week Bradley course to prepare for an unmedicated birth.  If that is the type of birthing class you are thinking about let me know and I can give you some more info on finding a good instructor.

I have taken classes at Prentice downtown and will take one at Lake Forest Hosptial close to where I work.  I think most hospitals offer some type of birthing class.  But I recommend the Great Expectations and Breastfeeding classes at Prentice.

I'm delivering in Chicago (St. Joseph's) but recently moved to the north suburbs. We are currently taking our birthing classes through Northwestern/Lake Forest Hospital. We also are taking a Newborn Basics class and Breastfeeding class.
