What size plate for party?

I'm planning a bridal shower and mainly only serving dessert. I will have fresh fruit that they can dip or not dip and something salty maybe 2 items. should I be getting 10 inch dinner plates or stick with 7 inch dessert.

I always use the same size plates for appetizers as I do for dessert.  The dinner plates seem too big, even if I serve a variety of apps.

I was just going with 7 inch so I will keep going with my plan.  All the items I will have will be finger type desserts.
