Ocean City, MD

hey ladies, my husband and i are thinking about taking a vacation here in July. Weve never been. can you give us some reccomendations of restaurants, hot spots, good shopping? whats it like....compared to Ocean City, NJ?

    Depends what you like. I've never been to OC, NJ, but I grew up near OC, MD. Personally, I hate it. It's way too expensive for what it is - a trashy boardwalk. The food is mostly chain restaurants with greasy food and the shopping is just touristy junk that you could get anywhere. In my opinion, Rehoboth is a bit nicer and about the same travel distance. Plus, tax free shopping. Have fun planning!

    I have a house outside of OC and go there all the time.  I would not stay near the rides on the boardwalk as it is trashy.  There are some chain places but not that many.  Some of the local places in West Ocean city include https://www.marlinmoongrille.com/, https://www.craballey.com/, https://www.ocsunsetgrille.com/, and https://www.hooperscrabhouse.com/.  This just names a few.  Also, in Berlin there is the Globe which has great food and entertainment https://www.globetheater.com/.  As far as places to stay I have heard good things about the new Hilton
