Any suggestions for websites/books on Monoamniotic twins ?

I have been doing some research online about our situation with both babies being in one sac. Not sure how many of you ladies have gone through a similiar situation, but if there is anything you think I should read, pls let me know.

I have my 9 wk appt in just a few short weeks so I want to ensure I am well read so I can ask my doctor all the important questions.

THanks in advance Ladies.

Maggie

  • "Twins! Pregnancy, Birth, and the First Year of Life" by Connie Agnew M.D. is a good read..It talks about all the different types of twinning..It also goes along the wks of the pg and then birth and afterwards..So far it has been the best book I have found..GL!

  • You must go to www.monoamniotic.org.   That website helped me tremendously.  They women are very knowledgeable and supportive.  I could not have survived my inpatient stay without that website.

  • thanks so much ladies!!!!
  • Keep in mind that at your gestation the sac is so small that there could be a sepreation but it is too small to tell.  A lot of identical moms find the seperating sac at 20-24 weeks.

That happened to me - not as late as 20 weeks, but the first 4 u/s the boys were thought to be momo, and eventually a high risk Dr saw the membrane between them.?
