Dress me, slores

So my brother is getting married in an outdoor wedding in mid-May @ my parents' house in the afternoon.  That said, the bridal party is wearing pretty formal attire - tuxes, long BM dresses, traditional wedding dress for the bride.

My other brother is getting married at the end of June, and I'm in the wedding.  But I will need something for a rehearsal dinner that is at the Claddagh Irish Pub.  I think it will be nice, but not super nice.

All of that said, I was thinking of this dress, or something similar.

I'd probably get a black wrap to go w/ it.  Yay, nay?

also, maternity clothes suck.  if someone could design cute clothes, they'd make a killing.

Re: Dress me, slores

  • I am sorry. I love you, I hate the dress
  • My personal issues would be?

    my giant boobs hanging out

having to possibly wear flats - heels and grass = big mess

the hem of the dress being a mess due to said grass/mud/dirt.

dude, it is SO hard to find a cute maternity dress.  I'm ready to off myself.

Kori - I'm tall, so I'll wear flats anyway since the dress does not come in "tall" length.  But yeah, I am worried about my rather large bust.

GAHHHHHHHHH.  I'm going into a cave until September.

You take my ovaries, I take your yarns.
  • Ok, so I'm 99% sure I want a maxi dress because I will feel like less of a dummy when wearing flats (and I def want to wear flats).

    What about this print:

    it's navy, yellow and blue.

    Here's another one:

    what about this?

Love love love love. and it would work great with E's coloring.

E, the other 2 you posted were super cute too. I think I just have a think with bugs of any sort, even if they are butterflies, on a dress.

  • err, sorry that's so farging huge, I can't resize at home

This is good too, that way, if her mom makes her BSC, she already has a noose handy.

  • ooo, where is the print one from?  I definitely want to go print so it's a bit more casual.

    bwahahahahahahaha!

I plan on being her DD so she gets wasted and is nice and not psycho.  We're getting our hair done together the morning of the wedding @ her house, so I plan to force mimosas down her throat starting at 8am.  Perhaps laced w/ xanax.

  • Something like this will help the boobs, which will be even bigger by then!

it's on here. ?I just like the lines/cut of that one better than the other ones I think, moreso than the print differences. ?

Did you check japanese weekend ??

  • I did - but didn't see too much.

However, y'all have given me some other options, which really helps!  Thanks!

  • Eclaires, your boobs are going to look insane in all those choices, except Kori's and emilykristine's. I do think a maxi-dress is the best choice. you need to find one with thick enough straps to wear a real bra.

  • I LOVE the dress. Do it!
  • This isn't a print, but the straps have a bit more coverage for a bra.

  • ooo, I like that tiff!  I'll def check that out.

purrf - I'll probably try a few of these styles on, but a friend who is busty was able to easily wear the halter ones (navy, first one) and I've had a good experience w/ halters in the past.  I do have a very good strapless bra, so it could work.  hopefully something works!
