I have like a million cousins and some are on FB. Well one of them just Updated: "grandma just died" WTF? If that wasn't enough another cousin responds about 10 comments into the condolences saying "She still Alive" Really? I mean REALLY?!?! You are going to post about my grandma dying on FB before I have a chance to be told in person and then be WRONG about it???

Yes, it's OUR grandma. I know it's happening soon. But why on earth would you post it on FB right when it happens and then be wrong? I mean everyone is with her right now and her breathing is very shallow but FB shouldn't be the first place you go. Make sure the family knows first.

FB is starting to drive me a little nuts for just this reason. It's not a serious as a death (and then being wrong!!), but I learned about a close cousin's pregnancy and my brother's engagement first on FB. So not cool.

Yeah, I learned my grandfather was diagnosed with cancer on FB. My own mother's page! Ugh...
