and make me feel better, please. About to head out to get my second dose, first one made me crazy jittery. I hardly slept at all last night. If you had them, did your little one end up being early after all? If so, did you feel that the shots made a difference? My blood pressure is out of control, they added a med yesterday, too. If I had one other qualifying symptom, I'd have pre-eclampsia, but so far it's just the crazy bp.

Re: If you had to have steroid shots, please come in
m'kay... apparently I don't speak this language.
Our Blog
My cousin has had them. She went into labor with her twins at 28 weeks. She's at 35 weeks now though, so all the meds and steroid shots and everything else has really been working. She's been on very strict bed rest since then though. I know she said she feels nasty every day and she's been going crazy not sleeping and laying in bed all day every day.
Hang in there! I hope you get some rest soon.
i had them at 30 weeks (with the twins) b/c i went into ptl and we thought for sure i was going to deliver REALLY soon. i was on hospital bedrest until 32 weeks and strict bedrest at home after that. i had the twins at 36 weeks 1 day!
i never had the chance to get the shots with DS #1. i was 29 weeks when i went into labor and got sent home. next day, i BARELY made it to the hospital (there for like 10 mins before i delivered)
i don't remember having problems from the shot. i was on the mag sulfate and other stuff too and slept pretty good (except for being uncomfy and being bothered every hour)
GOOD LUCK momma! hang in there!
Thanks so much for the positive stories and encouragement, ladies! It really helps to hear success stories:) I still feel jittery from the second shot, but so far the additional blood pressure med seems to be helping.
Kim777, thanks for the rec to the preemie board, I actually found an existing thread on there that answered my major concerns, and am glad to have another resource for info while I hang out here on bedrest!
