I'm trying to decide b/w the Ergo and the Ultralight. Do you have or have you tested either? If you have the Ergo how is the weight for traveling? What do you like/dislike about either? We are going to Disney the end of May. My kids will be 5, 2 and 3 months. I'll probably use it at the parks more for the 5 and 2yo and put the baby in a carrier.
What would you recommend?
Re: If you have a Joovy sit n' stand
I have the ultralight and love it, my only complaint is that it is not comfy in the back if the front is reclined for an infant seat or a sleeping baby. The only other thing is that it is not a good stroller for sleeping, then again DD has slept in there but it is not really made for it.. That said, DS was 2.5 when I got it and he was ready and loves it, he loves that he can get up and down on his own but normally sits and straps himself in. And he climbs over the snack tray the minute that DD wants to be held! And it is very easy to open and close
The Ergo looked cool but I have not seen it and they were out of stock when I bought mine.
I have the ultra lite. I really do like it. My kids are 5, 3, and 8 months for reference. My oldest two are 21 months apart. I used it with my oldest two, when my DS was about 9 months until my youngest was born. I used it with the infant carrier with my youngest and middle child standing/sitting. I had no complaints with it as a general "mall"-type stroller. It's great.
Honestly though, if you are getting it for a Disney trip, I'd skip it all together. It's too big (and the ERGO is even bigger and heavier) to fold and carry on/off buses, trams, trains etc. The front/back make it difficult for parades etc. The seats on the joovy aren't high enough and don't recline enough to make it comfortable for sleeping. The jump seat is fine, but isn't really relaxing per say, like a regular seat for your oldest.
If you are looking for a stroller for a Disney trip, I'd get a double umbrella. I have the Maclaren Twin Triumph and it's great for that purpose. Jeep has (or at least they used to) a double umbrella stroller for around $135 that would be perfect for zoo, Disney, travel.
