  • I love Elijah/Eli Scott ... great name!

I'm not a fan of Gabriel, because it sounds so feminine to me. I do like the nn Gabe, but still not nearly as much as Elijah/Eli.

    Good luck deciding!

  • I voted for Elijah Scott! Love the combination!

I'm not a fan of Gabe (I don't mind Gabriel though)...I taught 5th grade for 5 years and we had a Gabe one year...the kids always called him "GAAAAAYbe" - it didn't help that he happened to be a small kid and was kinda dainty.

  • I like them both, but I think Gabriel is becoming more popular than Elijah right now. (Not sure if that matters to you)
  • I love Eli!

  • I like Gabriel a lot.  I also like Gabe as a nn, but we won't be able to use it since our last name starts with a B.  "Gabe B..." sounds an awful lot like "Gay B..." when said aloud, and I refuse to do that to our future child!  Stick out tongue

  • Thanks ladies...I prefer Eli/Elijah as well...dh i think is more on Gabriel....but i had thought about mean nn that people could come up with for Gabe, and just find saying Eli easier.  We'll find out sex in a couple weeks and then i'd like to be settled on something..but I would like to sway him towards Elijah.  Scott was picked because of a 2nd cousin of dh's that passed away at the age of 30 something due to cancer, he thought it'd be nice to honor him somehow....so i like that too :)
