Prozac users

My doctor has just prescribed me to start prozac and I must admit as much as I want to start feeling better I am worried about starting on any medication. For the ladies who take prozac, how do you feel about it? Do you like it? Have you noticed any strong side effects?

Prozac has been the only anti-dep I've been able to take. I have zero side effects. I am extremely sensitive to medication and always had nasty side effects with even low doses. Zoloft killed my sex drive and my appetite. Wellbutrin made my blood pressure drop and kept me up all night. Cimbalta made me want to puke. I could go on and on. I finally tried Prozac. I'm on a small dose, 10mg and it did take several weeks to "kick in", but I feel great. I took it during pregnancy and breastfeeding with no problems. I would suggest a low dose and move up if you need to. I'm going to try going off of it within the next 6 months or so.  Good luck....I hope you feel better soon!

I take it (20mg)  and have had no side effects.

I took it my whole pregnancy and still take it while bf'ing.

I struggle with horrible anxiety...and it's my lifeline.

I have been feeling much better taking prozac but it has wiped out my sex drive. I'm going to talk with my doc about it soon.

Ditto this...I had nasty anxiety too and prozac helped with that in a addition to my depression
