i started going to 'books and babies' at the library and used to go to family connections. i want to add some more free activities....library, museums, parks...what else?
what do you do with your kids that is free/or super cheap?
We love Zilker (though we usually end up on the train which is not free)
Sundays 4-5 the children's museum is free (really crowded, but free)
We love going the Farmers Market on Sat (we usually go to Sunset Valley - now moved the Barton Creek Square or downtown at Republic Square). There is lots of people watching and usually live music. We will usually get a snack while we are there and end up spending money on produce and stuff, but it can be free.
we love going to different area parks and go exploring. they like to bring buckets and their magnifying glasses with them and collect things that they see while we walk/explore. we have hit several really nice neighborhood parks lately, we like to try out different ones.
Try Lake Park at Mueller! Trails, pond with ducks, picnic tables, and lots of grassy space to roam and play. There is a great playground too, but it's usually very crowded on the weekends.
