Mother's Day Brunch??

Hi Ladies - anyone have plans for brunch on Mother's Day or been somewhere great in the past?  My husband asked where I would like to go and I was looking online at places....Sage On The Coast, Bayside, First Cabin at the BBC...

    i haven't been to brunch in SO long.  i did get an email about the Long Beach Aquariums mothers day brunch.

    Sage on the Coast is one of my favorite restaurants!  Amazing amazing food! I've never been for brunch, but I would bet money that it's good.

    Last year we all went to brunch at the Citrus City Grille in the Orange Circle.  It was pretty good, but not amazing.  This year, not sure what we'll do because DD's restaurant patience is kind of limited.  I'm going to look into that aquarium thing.  Thanks for the tip, Jettaky!

    The Aquarium thing sounds like fun.  I may look into that, too.

    We have done Salt Creek Grill and Las Brisas in the past.  I know some people like the one at the Disneyland Hotel, but it sounds a little chaotic to me.

    After Saturday, Sage on the Coast will close its doors. Chef Rich Mead?s sister location, Sage Restaurant (at Eastbluff), will remain open. We?ve heard rumors of what?s moving into SOTC's space, and all we can confirm so far is this: Master Sommelier Michael Jordan is somehow involved, and the proposed eatery will serve Matteo?s chopped salads. For those who don?t remember Matteo?s, it was a classic Italian place run by Jordan?s family in Corona del Mar years ago. More info to come. In the meantime, Sage on the Coast will have lunch tasting menus today and tomorrow, and dinner through Saturday. 7862 East Coast Highway, Newport Beach. 949-715-7243. www.sagerestaurant.com

    Last year we went to Don the Beachcomber in Sunset Beach.  They had a great brunch, with unlimited Champagne and they also had a polynesian/hula dancing show.  We went with another couple friend of ours and their daughter.  It was a really nice time.  Not sure what area's you are looking at though.

    Hyatt Hotel in Huntington Beach has a great brunch.  A bit pricey but good.

    We are doing Mother's Day brunch at the St. Regis this year.  We're just crossing our fingers the kiddos (our nieces and B) do as well as they did at Easter brunch.  Fat chance of that happening again :)

    It's been a while since I've been to a nice brunch, but I liked Bayside Restaurant in Newport. 

    This year we're probably doing Hyatt Regency Long Beach since it's the mid-point between me, my sister and step-mother and the price is reasonable.
