I'm on BCP in preparation for my surgery and every night when i take them i say to my husband sarcastically "Oh no - i better take my BCP - wouldn't want to get pregnant or anything". Very ironic to be on BCP - it also makes me think back to all the years i paid for BCP when it seems like i really didn't need them all these years :-/

Tell me about it! And the times I would carry them in my wallet if we were going out late so I could take it at the same time! I thought if I missed one night I would get KU...ha ha..turns out I can skip 2 years of pills and still be "safe."
I know! I actually said the same thing to my DH 5 minutes ago when I took my 1st pill. It felt VERY strange and I kept thinking "am I really supposed to be doing this?" It does boggle my brain that in order for us to get KU we have to take the pill. CRAZY!
