If you had success with a 3dt - come in

Do you remember how many cells your embryos were that were transfered? I tend to get no more than 8 cells by my 3dt's and I'm at Cornell who tends to do 3dt. I see many girls having up to 10 cells by day 3 and I'd love to here some success stories with 8 cells or less, could give me a little hope for my upcoming cycle. Sorry for lack of paragraphs, posting from my Iphone.

my SIL just got PG at cornell - she transferred 3 - 8 cell embies.  she's pregnant with a singleton.

we transferred a 4 cell and a 9 cell at my 3dt.    of course we don't know which one "stuck" but because of my low betas, DH is convinced it was the 4 cell.    the RE said it looked great, but it was just a slowpoke.

We did a 3dt and transferred 2. One was 8 cell one was 7 cell.

We got our BFP this week.

I did a 3dt with 2 4-celled.  One stuck and is now a very active 15 month old!

I had 3 embies transfered -  6 cell w/fragmentation,  8 cell with fragmentation,  4 cell with no fragmentation.  Not sure which one resulted in DS of course, but my RE thought at the time of transfer that my best chances were with the perfect 4 cell.....

DD in siggie is from a 3 day transfer.  One was an 8 cell, and one had expanded a little further.  Both stuck.  Lost one at 10 weeks.

We did a 3dt with two 8 cell embies and both of these little beans stuck.  Good luck!

We did a 3dt with 3 embies - One 8 cell (no frag), One 6 cell (mild frag), and one poor looking 5 cell.  All 3 took, though we lost one at 8.5 wks.  You definitely don't have to have perfect 8 cells to have success!  GL!!

We transferred one eight cell and one seven cell and got our daughter.  I thought they were supposed to be eight cells on day three or am I wrong about that?  I don't think having more really means they are "better."

I feel your pain regarding posting from the iPhone.

My doc at CCRM told me that 3d embies with >8 cells are more likely to have genetic abnormalities.  I obviously can't assess the validity of that but I thought you might like to hear it just the same.

We transferred 2 8-cell embies.

We transferred 2 8 cell embies. One was grade 1.5 and one was grade 2 - with grade 1 being the highest.

I'm confused.

I know it's been a while (over 4 years) since my IVF but my RE's goal was 8 cells at day 3.

We transferred 2 eight cells and one 3 celled and originally had 2 little heart beats in there but lost one at 8 weeks.

8 cells sounds great to me!

We transferred two 3-day 8-celled embryos and one stuck.  As pp stated, too many cells on day 3 could be a problem too.

I believe I had one 8-cell and one 7-cell that we transferred.  One of them took; not sure which one became my precious DS.  Good luck!

my clinic only does 3dt and they look for 8 cells as the goal.   My first successful IVF I had an 8-cell and 7-cell, both were considered "very good" and I had a singleton.    This time, I had 2 "perfect" 8-cells and I'm preg. with twins.

you really want to aim for the 8 cell. we transfered a 5, 8 and 10 on day 3.

I transferred one 8-cell embryo on day 3 and it worked.  I was told my embryo was "as good as it gets" for a 3 day embryo so I though 8 cell was the goal.

One our last IVF we had a 6 cell and an 8 cell and the 6 cell was of better quality  Not sure which one took, but I dont htink you need 10 cells at all.  i think 8 cell is optimum   Good luck!

the 1st one - 1 grade A 8-cell, 1 grade B 8-cell

the 2nd one - 2 grade A 8-cells --> BFP.  twins!

3dt transfer for me too.  Both stuck the second time around.  I don't recall how many cells they were.  Good luck!

My PE transferred 2 8-cell, and one 5-cell.  I like to think that little one was Chris.
