So I've realized lately that I have a lot of very odd quirks about me. Some of my biggest ones:
1. Between my office and the parking deck I park in is a huge grassy concourse. It is meant to be walked on (students play frisbee, catch, study, ect. on it) but in the mornings on my way into the office, I take the sidewalks around it. I never walk across the grass. At night on my way to my car, I always cut across the grass. Not sure why..it isn't wet in the mornings and there are more people on it at night..I'm just odd like that.
2. I hate when people walk too closely to me. Obviously if I'm in a crowded area, I deal. But earlier today I was walking to my office and the sidewalks were empty and a kid was walking right next to me. It drives me nuts. So I crossed to the other side of the side walk. I guess I just like my personal space.
3. Similar to #2, I hate when I'm at a sporting event and there is lots of seating and someone comes and sits right next to/behind/in front of me. I usually move. I think that stems from being a coach's wife and I a) hate when parents sit by me because it never ends well b) I tend to say things/mutter things that other people probably don't need to hear.
4. The parking deck that I park in every day for work is also the same one I park in when I go to baseball and basketball games and gymnastics meets. I always park in one area (side) of the deck when I'm going to work and a totally different place when I'm going to a sporting event. And logistically it doesn't make a difference.
5. I can never, ever eat while watching DH's games. I've never been able to and I never will be able to.
6. I write my grocery lists with the same pen every week. If I don't have that pen to use, I end up re-writing the list at home when I do have it.
7. I can't tell one of my dogs "hello", "goodbye", "I love you" without telling the other ones, too.
Ok..your turn

I tend to sway while I am in the shower. DH makes fun of me for it.
I supposedly sleep with my knees up, legs bent. Of course, I have never been able to confirm this with my own eyes.
I put French fries in my hamburgers from Wendy's. I only do this with Wendy's burgers. No where else.
this is food related
if I have a sandwich from home on regular bread (not sub bread) then I always cut it into 4 pieces. This is the only way that I eat a sandwich.
If I am eating eggs and I have toast with it I always cut my toast into 3 pieces. But this is only when I eat eggs with toast. If it is just toast and nothing else I don't cut it at all.
I read magazines backwards...I love starting from the back and flip towards the front. Obviously, I start an article from the beginning. But I like to start my reading from the back of the magazine.
I've been reading the same book for about two years- Eat, Pray, Love. Every night I lie in bed, I can only make it past a page or two...but I reread the same pages because I'm so tired I forget what I've read...and the cycle continues!
I can't sleep in an unmade bed. My mother was the same way. Even if am super busy during the day and didn't get around to making my bed, I would make it before my husband and I ready to sleep and I get right back in.
I love quirks...they make us all unique

Oh I have another one!
I unplug certain things before I leave the house every morning: My hair straightener, the coffee maker, toaster/toaster oven, and any other thing I used in order to get ready for that day like an iron, curling iron, etc. I am paranoid about the house burning down. But it doesnt bother me that other things like lamps, TV's, and computers are still plugged in!
Oh my gosh H, both DH and I are the same way. We are big on personal space, and we both tend to say something (sometimes under our breath, sometimes to the person) about it. Also in the movie theater, if there are tons of empty seats left....we both hate it if someone comes and sits right behind us.
When I have a plate of food, and it's a meat and a side (rice/veggies/whatever) I NEED the sides to be at the top of the plate/farthest from me. And the meat at the bottom of the plate. It feels weird if it's not that way. I also need my drink on my right.
I get angry if someone stares. It makes me feel so uncomfortable. My DH is the same way. We noticed a loooong time ago that many people in our town have staring problems. You go into a restaurant....and there are always a few people who turn and stare. We usually wave at them.
1. I've become obsessed with having all the light switches in the same direction. If one is out of place, I have to go down or upstairs and correct it. This is something new.
2. I move dishes around in the dishwasher so everything is in its right place...this drives my husband crazy.
3. I have to turn my dinner plate around until the main meal like chicken is on the right side and the veggies and whatever is on the left.
I'm sure there are plenty of other things but these are all I could think of.

I am the exact same way! I'm very paranoid about it, actually even a little OCD. I have to check my flat iron at least three times because I can leave the house. I even put a little check mark in my planner every morning at home (while standing in the bathroom looking at it) so if I worry during the day (which I always do) I can look at the check mark. Whoa..that's bad, huh?
But I pretty much unplug everything ...pretty much the only things I leaved plugged in are the stove, fridge, TV in the living room (for DVR purposes) and laptop. If I'm gone for more than a day, I unplug everything except for the fridge.

This!
Also, I count when I walk. Sometimes, I just count to 50 or 100, but usually I count in fours (1, 2, 3, 4; 2, 2, 3, 4; 3, 2, 3, 4...). Weird, I know. I swear I'm not OCD!
1. When I am walking, I count every step I take. This started when I was in college, and I don't even think about it. I count and I don't even know I am counting. I can carry on a full conversation, yet still count every single step. If I sit down though, or stop walking, I start back at one (thank goodness bc I would be on like a bazillion by now).
2. I am obsessed with decorating and always have a million things tabbed in magazines, catalogues, etc, and I buy new things for the home every weekend.
3. I love clothes shopping, but 9 times out of 10, I return everything I buy the day after I purchase it. I have buyers remorse, but only for clothes, like you've never seen before.
4. Every time I eat or drink, I have to have a napkin on my lap or by my side. Right now, in my home office, on my desk are 4 napkins. 2 from the two meals I ate at my desk yesterday and 2 from the two meals I ate today. They aren't messy or anything... I fold them up into squares. Weird.
5. I wear a nude colored bra every single day.
Very interesting poll, I like it!
1. I am a clean freak. I clean up the kitchen after cooking BEFORE I eat what I just made. I can't enjoy it knowing the kitchen is a mess
2. I eat the same breakfast and snacks and variation of the same lunch every single weekday. Weekends I mix it up.
3. I only like to sit in the back row at the movie theater. Preferably in the middle but I'll sit way off to the side to be in the back.
4. I count steps and other things too and don't even notice. I am not OCD either but it's something both my sister and I do!
Ah this is fun!!
I have a major sock fettish, I have to sleep in socks, and I can only wear one type of socks, they are black Men's crew socks, ( think I have at least 30 pairs). I can't stand any other socks on my feet. I also put on a new pair before bed, and then rub my feet together until I fall asleep, LOL...Also, can't handle bare feet at all, when people have bare feet on carpet it drives me so insane, I think everyone should have socks on when walking on the floor. In the summer when it's hot, I can wear flip flops or sandals but as soon as I'm home I have to put on my socks. Even having sex, must wear socks, LOL!!
If people ask how I am I will say"fine" but sometimes I won't ask how they are back. sometimes I just don't care, this is usually the case with clients at work.
I have to have a veggie and or fruit with every meal. (fruit at breakfast, veggie and fruit for lunch and dinner minumum) If a restaurant does not have veggies I will not eat there. Very high maintenance.
I shave every day.
I turn the phone off when I get home from work (unless I am cycling) because I talk on the phone all day at work and I hate to do it when I get home.
H and I always say: "bye, I love you, have a nice day" in the am or "good night I love you, see you tomorrow" before bed
I will agree to the personal space thing. If someone gets too close to me in line I will actually turn and look at them. I told a guy at an ATM to back off once.
There so many more but I can't think of them right now.....
