When does the exhaustion get better?

I am so, so, so tired.  Every time I feel like I'm going to stop being tired, I get more tired.  Is this ever over? I'm about 12 weeks now and I feel like I've been tired forever.  Sorry for the vent - I have a work conference next week, and I'm wondering if I'm going to pass out in my soup over dinner with clients. ;)

Thanks,

Amy

but seriously, sorry you're so tired!  Usually it gets better in the 2nd tri so hopefully it won't be long now!

  • I think I finally started feeling rested when he was about 5 years old.  So, I went and got knocked up again :)

Kidding, kidding.  Kind of.  The second trimester is usually the easiest in terms of the exhaustion and sickness.  Hope it gets better!

  • I was thinking 7 years and counting. lol. Seriously though, it gets better in the 2nd trimester.
  • People say it gets better in the 2nd tri but I didn't notice much of an improvement. I consistently went to bed between 8:30 and 9 the whole pregnancy.

I did find out in early 3rd tri that I was anemic and started taking iron and that helped a tiny bit.
  • I'm 16 weeks along and still exhausted all the time.  I'm wondering when it will start to get better.  I drag all day everyday!  I totally understand how you feel!
  • I found that it got much better after the 1st tri, especially with exercise. (Seems counterintuitive, but really gives more energy once you get going.) Have hope!

I was going to say this too!

Second trimester is better.  All in all, though, pregnancy is a tiring time.  Enjoy it though, as life gets crazy after baby!
