No joke, about 2 weeks after DH and I started going out, my DH thought he could impress me by turning off the lights in his dorm room, turning on a "disco ball" (which was really just his computer screen he had programmed to flash white light quickly), putting some techno on and whipping out glow sticks and putting on a show for me. He was not good.

Sometimes he wonders why I stuck around when he did stuff like that, but I stuck around BECAUSE of that stuff, but it's my little secret.

Boring issues, unfortunately.  Career, moving far from family.  The former won't really transfer and we'd be moving to Quebec, so language is an issue since I don't have any kind of professional level French.   Family is probably easier to deal with, but still an issue.

Funny you should ask. He used to mix his own techno songs, his monniker was DJ Light (his name in english translates to Light).
