  • 50 mins for DD1.

15 mins for DD2.. and she was 9.5lbs so that was not exactly an easy "fit" ;) Not that it ever is!

    3 hours and then a c/s.

It was daunting enough to know I had to push one baby out. I don't think I could have mentally prepared myself for the idea of pushing two out.

    It certainly is commendable!

  • I pushed with my awesome L&D nurse for 15 minutes.  The OB popped in to check me and say that he had to go and help with a c-section.  He told the nurse not to let me push.  She was nice and let me push after he had been gone 45 minutes...as long as I didn't push too hard.  I pushed a couple of times and she paged the doctor.  I waited until he got back and DD was out in a few pushes.  (OB was a little pissed off that she had let me push).  So- I was in the "pushing" stage for over an hour, but wasn't allowed to push for the entire time.

  • I chose SS - I pushed for about about 10 minutes.  I think it was 5 or 6 pushes.

2 hours just pushing on my own. 30 minutes pushing with the vacuum. and then rushed off for a c section.

They used the vacuum for 30 minutes??  I was told that the limit is 10 minutes, at lowest possible setting.

With DD1, I pushed for 3.5 hours, the last 10 mins with a vacuum.  Every bit of it sucked.

With DD2, I pushed for less than 2 minutes.  (But she was only 4 lbs, so....)

  • Started pushing around 5:45, DS was born at 9:07.

    So yeah... 3 hrs & 22 mins.

I checked off the 3-4 hrs option, but also would like to say "WAY TOO LONG"  lol

I pushed for 2 hours 15 min.  She then had to be vacuumed because her arm was up over her head, which is why she wouldn't come out.  It sucked, but she's worth it:)

Me...exactly.  I was EXHAUSTED!  2 hours of pushing was horrible, I had no energy left so they tried to give me a sugar/caffeine boost with a Coke.  Try pushing while burping.  Pretty hilarious.  She ended being vacuumed which hurt like effing hell.  Doesn't help that I tore wide open with no epi. either.

Me too!  The epi failed, even though two different Dr's tinkered with it.  I hadn't eaten all day, since I went from work to my 39-week apointment, to the hospital for an emergency indcution (pre-e).  All I had was a sprite, and I was hiccuping.  It can only get better for number 2, right?
