I'm still bleeding from where I gave myself the injection this morning. Not a ton but it soaked thru my bandage and shirt and I have quite the bruise. I was in a hurry to go to work and I did it really fast , who knows what happened. I KNOW I should call my Dr. and I will if it is still bleeding in the morning. Just want to know if this has happened to anyone else. ( And yes I am mortified it might affect my cycle in progress, thats why I havent called : (
Re: Lovenox Girls
I've never had bleeding for that long, but I'm wondering if you injected into muscle instead of sub-q/fat? If I hit muscle sometimes it bleeds for a bit. Also, inject VERY slowly...seriously, the slower the better...that will help with bruising.
I would call your doctor if it doesn't stop bleeding...you want to make sure that everything's ok.
I have had a few times where my injection site bled but never for very long. I've always done the injections fast so I don't know if that would cause it to bleed. I would call the doc if it hasn't stopped bleeding. It makes sense that you'd bleed more than normal since the Lovenox is thinning your blood but if you keep bleeding maybe they would check your clotting time/heparin levels, etc.
I don't think it would affect your cycle but best to call and just ask.
