Well, I went for my first ultrasound today and my RE thought I should be about 7 weeks.  We saw a sac, but there did not appear to be anything in it.  She told me that it could still be early and immediately sent me for another beta.  So at 27 DPO, my beta was 9617.  I have to have another one on Friday to see how the numbers compare and based on that we may schedule another ultrasound.  I have been crying most of the day since my appointment. Poor DH could not go with me because he could not get off of work, but I called and cried to him a couple times.  My LMP was Feb 21st and I ovulated around March 18th.  Has anyone else had a similar experience?  I just need some hope....

From what I understand, based on your LMP and if your cycle was a perfect 28 days, you would be about 7+ weeks.  But based on when you say you O'd you would only be about 5 wks 6 days.  I had my first u/s with DS at 5wks 5days, and all we saw was a sac as well.  2 weeks later, at 7wks 5days, there was one heartbeat.  I am not sure about what the beta should be, but I think that there is still hope for you!  I think that your dates are off because you ovulated a lot later than CD14.  I will keep my fingers crossed for you!
